SAFELIFE 2022

Welcome to the SAFELIFE - SAFEty, security, and Privacy in CompLex ArtIFicial IntelligencE based Systems workshop. It is our pleasure to invite you to the second edition of the SAFELIFE workshop. SAFELIFE aims at discussing current and future challenges regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in complex systems with complex networks, in terms of security, safety, and privacy. SAFELIFE is co-located with the 11th Latin-American Symposium on Dependable Computing (LADC 2022) and the XI Brazilian Symposium on Computing Systems Engineering (SBESC 2022) , which will be held in Brazil at the beautiful city of Fortaleza/SC, from the 21st to the 26th of November, 2022. This is an opportunity for exchanging ideas with a wider community and finding new projects partners for future.

LADC is the major Latin-American event on computer systems dependability. All aspects of dependable and secure computer systems, systems of systems, and digital engineering are within the scope of the conference, including fault tolerant architectures, protocols and algorithms, models for performance, dependability and security evaluation, experimentation and assessment of dependable and secure systems.

The objectives of SAFELIFE are aligned with the main goals of the LADC. Of course, with the apparent trends in the evolution of critical systems, from small systems in close networks towards complex systems with open and complex networks, the concerns in such systems are extended from dependability to security, safety, and privacy.
